SAFETY SIGNS

Safety signage for workplaces and sites
Safety signs communicate rules and risks to the people who work in or visit a building, factory, warehouse or site. A good set uses consistent colours and symbols so the message is understood quickly, even by someone who does not read the wording.
The sign types

Mandatory signs tell people what they must do, such as wear a hard hat.
Prohibition signs show what is not allowed.
Hazard warning signs flag a danger.
Fire equipment signs mark extinguishers, hose reels and call points.
Information and notice signs cover directions, first aid and general notices.
Glow-in-the-dark signs stay visible when the lights fail.

We also carry reflective safety signs, health and safety posters, safety stickers and custom signs.
How to choose
Walk the site first
Note every hazard, every piece of required protective equipment, each fire point and each exit. That list becomes your order. A site survey can help if you want a second pair of eyes.
Material
Vinyl stickers, with or without laminate, suit smooth indoor surfaces. ABS plastic and Chromadek steel are better for walls, fences and outdoor use. Photoluminescent versions are available for emergency routes.
Size
Signs must be readable from where people stand. Small stickers suit machines and switches; larger boards suit gates and entrances.
Mounting
Choose sticker, drilled panel, or sign with frame, including single- or double-sided aluminium frames.
Compliance
Safety obligations differ between sites. Check your own requirements with your health and safety officer or the relevant authority.
Planning a full site setThe most effective safety signage is consistent. Use one style, one set of colours and the same wording rules throughout the building, and review it whenever the layout, processes or chemicals on site change. Faded or missing signs are worth replacing early, because people stop noticing signs that look neglected.Browse the shop, or request a quote for a complete site set.
